Ben Scott is a London-based session drummer, musical director, and multi-instrumentalist celebrated for his versatility, musicality, and creative edge. He has recorded drums on Ed Sheeran’s multi-platinum debut album, co-written the lead single for American artist Alex Winston, and worked in-house with award-winning producer Charlie Hugall. His touring and studio credits span a wide range of acclaimed artists, including Tom Walker, IDER, St. Lundi, ADMT, Declan J Donovan, Casi, with performances across the UK and worldwide.
Born in Doncaster and raised in North Yorkshire, Ben started drumming at the age of three using pots and pans. His teenage years were shaped by regular trips to Germany, where he studied under legends such as Steve Smith, Russ Miller, and Thomas Lang at the Musikakademie Marktoberdorf. Alongside this, he completed the undergraduate syllabus at Leeds College of Music before earning a BA (Hons) from the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford.
A versatile musician beyond the drum kit, Ben also performs as a guitarist and vocalist. He is the creator and performer behind The Ultimatum Experience, a cutting-edge solo show that fuses live drumming, triggered audio-visuals, and interactive technology into an immersive narrative performance. His work spans studio sessions, theatre, TV, and live touring, and he’s known for his precision, creativity, and musical sensitivity.
Now based in South East London, Ben continues to blend performance with education, working as a senior lecturer and mentor while pursuing a Masters in Creative Industries Futures.
